Gert to miss entire Challenge

Orlando Pirates’ new signing Gert Schalkwyk will not feature at all in the Vodacom Challenge as he is still recovering from a hamstring injury.

The 27-year-old says he is still nursing the injury that he picked up towards the end of last season, when on loan at Bloemfontein Celtic, and the likelihood is that he will only begin playing again when the new season stars.
 
“I am sitting out of the entire Vodacom tournament and hopefully that will give me sufficient time to recover ahead of the new season. I am very disappointed that I am not there to be considered for tomorrow’s match against Kaizer Chiefs,” he tells KickOff.com.
 
“However, I am happy that management and the technical team have allowed me the opportunity to heal completely,” he says.

Who is fooling who? the doctors or the reporters? last time i read they said it was a minor injury and it will only keep him out of the pirates vs City encounter, and now is for the whole tournament.... anyway it's good for him not to play against his former team because they were going to target him with flying tackles.

If this is true, then I am feeling a bit better; however this Plat Stars gives me tammie cramps. This tourney should be contested by CHIEFS. PIRATES, SUNDOWNS & CELTIC. This stars-nyana, bo mazulu-nyana, and bo SSUnyana ba, nxaa. On 1 August I want stay home all day, but not to watch Amazulu, no man sis.
