Tinashe: We've put it behind us

Kaizer Chiefs midfielder Tinashe Nengomasha says the 1-0 loss to Manchester City in Durban last night is not really a setback heading into the Derby.
The much-anticipated Vodacom Challenge clash between Bucs and Amakhosi will play itself out at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium tomorrow evening, and Nengomasha feels the team can put the Man City loss behind them.
“I personally feel we went down fighting and, though we lost, we will go into tomorrow’s game still confident. The only problem is that we lost, but overall I think we had a good game, which is good for us as we prepare for the Derby,” he tells KickOff.com.
“Even Benjani [Mwaruwari] chatted to me about our performance last night and he said he was very impressed with our fighting spirit.
“I will be the first one to admit that I’m not fully fit yet, and perhaps that goes for some of my teammates, because it is still early in preseason, but that doesn’t stop us from fighting for this team,” he says.
Another Amakhosi midfielder, David Mathebula, agrees with Nengomasha. “The loss hasn’t dampened the team spirit and as for the derby, I’m confident that we are going to see a very good game tomorrow,” he says.
