Doubtful - Carlos Tevez

Barry in, Tevez doubtful

Manchester City manager Mark Hughes says he will make changes for Tuesday’s Vodacom Challenge match against Kaizer Chiefs at the Absa Stadium in Durban.

The visiting English Premiership side lost 2-0 in their opening encounter against Orlando Pirates in Polokwane on Saturday, but Hughes expects to have England international Gareth Barry, at the very least, in his side.

Carlos Tevez remains a major doubt after only starting training with City on Monday due to a heel problem he sustained before his arrival at the club.

“It’s been really good for us to be in South Africa and we have enjoyed our time so far,” Hughes said. “The important thing is to make sure our conditioning is good and the games are of a good standard and we found out at the weekend against Pirates that they would be.

“In terms of bringing players into the team for the Chiefs game, Gareth [Barry] will take part tomorrow, but Carlos [Tevez] hasn’t had a training session yet because of bruising to his heel. He will train today [Monday], so it may be a little bit soon for him tomorrow. Hopefully he will be ready for the final on Saturday though.”

Meanwhile, Togo international Emmanuel Adebayor only jets into the country on Tuesday morning and will not be considered for the match against Amakhosi, but should be available for the Final, as will Brazilian Robinho, who arrives on Thursday.

With their jet-legged Tevez, Adebayor, and Robinho, expect Man City to suffer 0-3 loss from Kaizer Chiefs!!!

I'm glad Chiefs will a full strength team unlike Pierats who played amateurs musquarading as City. Even if Chiefs lose by 5-0 like our U-17 boys did to Brazil, it will put us in a good stead come the real business end of the season, as the same happened when our U-17 boys won the Cup where Pierats won 4th place. Whose laughing now?

I am a Pirates support and wish that Chiefs also win tonight. this will show Santana(satan) that if you want to beat Earopean, take Bucs and Chiefs players, they can take the presure. as for Sundown, they were beaten by a Vodacom team and expect them to beat Brazil National!

"I HATE PIRATES CAPTAIN" my question about you profile name is: if Khoza buy Robinoh or Ronaldo, since you know Khoza(and Pirates) can do that and the player captain Pirates, are u still going to keep your profile name? what if Teko becomes a captain this season?

THABO
You are as narrow-minded as your name suggests. Either you are below 16 years old or you were born retarded.

Are city going to play their new player Redlen in Durban, good distributors of the ball in the midfield. Looking like they can deliver on paper. Wonder if Adebayor will really be there for the final???? South Africa need this, to make things right for the environment in 2010.
