Enyimba win Nigeria Cup

Sharks will have to wait at least another year to win a major trophy after they lost 0-1 to Enyimba in the Nigerian Federation Cup on Sunday in Lagos.
Defender Musa Mustapha flew in unmarked to power in an unstoppable header from Andrew Igado's free kick.
The goal allowed Enyimba, tentative until then, to take control and put a stranglehold on the game, allowing Sharks very little opportunity.
Philip Auta could have doubled the advantage soon after, but hit his angled shot wide after outpacing his marker.
Sharks lacked invention upfront, and their attacking threat of Victor Ezeji and Chibuzor ozurumba offered very little potency upfront.
It was left to midfielder Thankgod Amaefule, himself a former striker to provide the inspiration, but two good opportunities were fluffed by John Aondongu, who took extra touches inside the box that allowed first Odita, and then Mustapha to recover and make timely clearances.
Enyimba continued to look the more likely to score as the game wore on, but the single strike proved enough, and Enyimba are back in trophy-winning ways.
For Sharks, its a case once again of so near, yet so far and the jinx continues.
