Kaitano Tembo expects different game when SuperSport United take on Kaizer Chiefs

Posted: 15 March 2019 Time: 16:08

SuperSport United coach Kaitano Tembo believes their league game against Kaizer Chiefs will be a different kettle of fish when they meet at Mbombela Stadium tonight.

United enjoyed dominance over Amakhosi during the MTN8 tournament where Bradley Grobler was the chief architect in demolishing the Glamour Boys at the start of the season.

Grobler could look forward to continuing with his great form over Ernst Middendorp's side in Nelspruit tonight, but Tembo says his team has no reason to look back at past results.

"This will be a different game playing for the three points," said Tembo.

"The team that is well prepared on the day will win the game. So it's very important that we don't look at the past results but focus on ourselves and make sure we are well prepared for the game."

Matsatsantsa have joined the race for the Absa Premiership title and remain the dark horse in the battle for the championship.

"My expectations as a coach for SuperSport United is to go try and win the game. That's what I expect. No one has the right to win the game but has to work hard for it. We have to prepare hard and make sure we perform on the day," he added.

Captain Dean Furman will miss tonight's clash (20h00) due to suspension.
