AmaZulu must start creating chances again says Jabulani Ncobeni

Posted: 7 March 2019 Time: 13:58

AmaZulu striker Jabulani Ncobeni admits the team hasn't been creating enough chances in their last couple of games, resulting in them dropping down the Absa Premiership log.

Speaking at a media briefing ahead of a tough encounter against Bidvest Wits on Saturday, Ncobeni understands the importance of getting results at this stage of the season as they are looking to finish in the top eight.

"We haven't been creating chances as a team, so for us to finish in the top eight we need to start creating and scoring again," he said.

"As players we understand what needs to be done going forward, we want to fight till the end of the season and this Saturday we need to collect maximum points."

Ncobeni is not reading too much into Wits' recent form as he feels Usuthu are also not performing well at the moment, and facing them will be tough.

"Their recent form doesn't mean anything, we also had a challenging period, it won't be an easy game as they're also in a title race, we just need to make sure we get a positive result," he added.

"We have to win all our home games remaining and at least try to get a point away as we haven't been doing well on the road, then we can finish in the top eight."
