Chippa United coach Clinton Larsen has revealed their target for the remaining eight games of the season as they look to keep their place in the Absa Premiership.
Speaking after his first defeat, 1-0 to SuperSport United on Sunday, the Chilli Boys coach admitted they can't win all their matches in the league and it is normal.
"We understand we can't and won't win them all, but if we can keep performing well we can definitely win more matches," he said.
When asked if the loss will do any damage to their confidence after they moved down to 14th place just above the relegation zone, Larsen said they won't panic.
"We have improved in the last five weeks, there's no need to panic, the team was in a worse situation and that time we were panicking," he explained.
The former Golden Arrows coach said after their win against Maritzburg United they came up with a target to guarantee their stay in the top-flight.
"After winning against Maritzburg United at home, we came with a target of 35 points, if we can collect five in every three games we can be safe and nothing has changed, we are still positive."
Chippa will travel to Limpopo to face Black Leopards on Sunday and Larsen feels that game will be good for them to test their mental strength, whether they are good enough to stay in the league.
"We going there to fight but judging by their records we will be underdogs," he said. "It has been proven that when we are at our best performance we can beat anyone."
