SA Players Abroad wrap: Liam Jordan shines, Kamo Mokotjo contributes

South Africans abroad had a relatively quiet weekend, although Liam Jordan and Kamohelo Mokotjo stood out above their countrymen with their individual performances.
Veldwijk played 72 minutes at Sparta Rotterdam registered a 2-1 win over RKC Waalwijk in the Dutch second division on Friday night. The 27-year-old is going through a bit of a slump, having now gone seven consecutive games without scoring.
Matthews got a 27-minute run after coming on as a substitute in Jong Utrecht’s 0-1 defeat to SC Telstar in their Dutch second division clash on Friday night.
Mokotjo returned to the Brentford starting line-up and picked up an assist as they beat Queens Park Rangers 3-0 in their Championship clash on Saturday evening. The 27-year-old played the full 90 minutes.
Zungu has yet to return from injury, though his Ligue 1 side Amiens remained five points above the relegation zone with a 2-2 draw away to Reims on Saturday night.
Serero played the full 90 minutes as Vitesse registered a 4-1 victory over NAC Breda in their Eredivisie on Saturday evening.
Jordan netted a brace to give HB Koge a 3-1 lead after 75 minutes, but they eventually had to settle for a 3-3 draw in their Danish second division clash with FC Fredericia on Sunday afternoon. The 20-year-old winger has five goals and eight assists this season.
Leshabela returned to the Leicester U-23 setup, following his exploits at the recent U-20 AFCON with Amajita, coming on as a 56thminutes substitute in their 1-0 defeat to Manchester City on Sunday.
Phiri played the full 90 minutes in Guimgamp’s goalless stalemate with Nantes on Sunday and remains in a spot of bother as they sit bottom of the Ligue 1 table 11 games remaining. They are currently two points away from safety.
Mothiba’s frustrations continued as he went an eighth appearance without scoring and was substituted out after 76 minutes in Strasbourg’s 0-1 defeat to Nice on Sunday.
Tau managed another 90 minutes as he helped Union Saint-Gilloise to a 1-0 victory over AFC Tubize in their Belgian second division stage two encounter on Sunday. USG remain on course for a Europa League qualification play-off spot.
Singh featured 90 minutes as GD Chaves were held to a 0-0 draw at home to Santa Clara on Sunday. Chaves are four points away from safety in the Portuguese Primeira Liga relegation battle.

Mayambela played the full game as SC Farense suffered a 0-1 defeat to Cele's Cova Piedade side in their Portuguese Segunda Liga on Sunday.
Farense have since dropped into the relegation zone with 10 games left in the season.
Cele also featured to full 90-minutes of the encounter.
Tshabalala came on in the final minute of regulation time as Erzurumspor registered a 1-1 draw with Turkish Super Lig giants Galatasaray on Sunday night. They are now five points away from safety in their relegation battle.
