Squad rotation key for Chippa United to reach targets

Chippa United have passed their immediate challenge of moving out of the relegation zone, but squad rotation will be needed to reach their next targets.
The Chilli Boys' focus has changed as they look to secure a league finish in the top half of the table and also win the Nedbank Cup.
Coach Clinton Larsen feels rotating players will help them reach their goals despite not having a big squad, and he is banking on his versatile players to assist.
"We only have 22 on-field players but fortunately we have a week in between matches, which helps our recovery methods go well," Larsen said.
"We will face challenges like Rhulani Manzini was out due to an injury but having good versatile players makes it easy to cover for him or anyone. The likes of Andile Mbenyane, Thabo Rakhale and Kurt Lentjies are proving to be good."
Rhulani is back in training after a hamstring injury and could return to the fold this week to alleviate some of the pressure on those players who have been filling in.
The Chilli Boys still have a chance to lift a trophy this season and face Bidvest Wits in the quarter-finals of the Nedbank Cup, and Larsen hopes to win to secure a home semi-final fixture.
"As much as we beat [Mamelodi] Sundowns, every time we play against the top five teams we will always be underdogs, there's no pressure on us," he added.
"I've played against them in the Telkom Knockout with [Golden] Arrows and beat them, and we would like to do the same."
Chippa's next league match is against SuperSport United at Sisa Dukashe Stadium on Saturday (15h30).
