Kaizer Chiefs coach Ernst Middendorp is not frustrated and won't panic about the chances his team have been missing in recent games.
Amakhosi had to play 120 minutes against ABC Motsepe League side The Magic FC in the Nedbank Cup after failing to convert chances in a game they largely dominated, but eventually ended up winning by three goals.
Speaking after the win at Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium, the German coach said he understands the team have been struggling but it doesn't frustrate him.
"As a coach you need to understand the game, these challenges are there and it doesn't frustrate me, we have to be patient," Middendorp said.
Amakhosi have not been scoring many goals this season despite a quality attacking force with the likes of Bernard Parker, Khama Billiat, Leonardo Castro, Dumisani Zuma and Pule Ekstein.
Middendorp feels the team is not doing well in terms of managing certain situations in a professional manner.
"We don't capitalise on chances we get in games, even last round against Tornado we had to wait till late, I think we need to work on how to manage such games professionally," he explained.
"Going forward we need to work on finishing touches in the last third, we are not at our best there."
