Milutin Sredojevic notes Esperance's unsettling tactics

Orlando Pirates coach Milutin Sredojevic has noted Esperance’s conniving tactics in trying to capitalise on their logistical challenges ahead of today’s match.
Pirates are fresh off their Soweto Derby draw with arch-rivals Kaizer Chiefs on Saturday, after which they immediately flew out to Tunisia for today’s CAF Champions League encounter.
The Buccaneers face Esperance in a return leg of their goalless stalemate at home last weekend, as the group stage begins to reach fever pitch.
The defending champions were initially set to host the clash at the same time as their previous meeting at Orlando Stadium (21h00), but according to Micho, given Bucs’ taxing affair against Chiefs, they decided to bring the kick-off time forward to 15h00 (SA time).
“It’s important to note that, without making excuses, the Derby really takes a lot out of us emotionally, and when giving everything in one match it’s tough to go into the next,” said Sredojevic.
“But believing in the work we’re doing and the players we have, I can assure you we shall squeeze them like the last drop out of a lemon in order to represent the country in the best possible way and get the best result in order to keep us in contention for the next stage.
“It is a bit unfortunate, the initial plan was to play at 9pm but after seeing we were playing against Chiefs, they changed the time of kick-off. We accept that, and we will look to play the match with the highest ambition.”
Pirates are currently top of Group B, level on points with Esperance, while third-placed Horoya – just one point adrift – are set to host bottom-of-the-group FC Platinum in their fourth-round fixture in Conakry at the same time today.
