National under-20 side Amajita looking to improve upfront in final Group A match

With just one goal scored in their U-20 Africa Cup of Nations campaign, Amajita know that they need to be at their best today when they take on Burundi in their final Group A match today.
Amajita scored their only goal in the opening match against hosts Niger which finished 1-1 on Saturday, before they played to a goalless draw with Nigeria on Tuesday.
A draw would be enough to send second-placed Amajita through to the semi-finals, if Nigeria beat Niger in the other group match, but they obviously do not want to take chances. They want a convincing victory so that they book themselves a spot in the semis and, as a result, qualify for the FIFA World Cup set to be played in Poland later this year.
“We had two objectives which we wanted to achieve going into this Nigeria match,” Senong was quoted as saying on the Safa website.
“One was not to concede and the other was to try and produce a goal in this tie. We only managed to achieve one objective because we were playing against a very organised side in defence. Our focus now shifts to our final group match against Burundi, where we will have to work really hard to produce the needed result.
“Scoring goals in any match is a team’s responsibility. This is one aspect we are going to work really hard on in training so that we can produce the desired result against Burundi in our final group encounter.”
