Bafana Bafana hopeful Joel Untersee made his debut for FC Zurich and looks set to face Serie A giants Napoli in the UEFA Europa League last-32 next week.
Untersee, 24, completed a loan switch from Serie A outfit Empoli to the Swiss giants on January 29 and has immediately been instated into the side's first XI and added to their Europa League squad.
The Roodepoort-born defender featured the full 90 minutes as Zurich suffered a 3-1 away defeat to FC St Gallen at the AFG Arena.
Having only featured in three Serie A games before his six-month loan deal, the right-back will have been delighted to gain some first-team action ahead of next Thursday's vital last-16 clash with Carlo Ancelotti's side.
Bafana Bafana coach Stuart Baxter will no doubt be casting an eye on his performances this month, having previously confirmed he convinced the Switzerland youth international to represent South Africa at senior level.
