SuperSport United are working hard to sign Lucky Mohomi from Mamelodi Sundowns before the transfer window shuts at midnight.
Sundowns coach Pitso Mosimane has indicated he wants Mohomi to stay at Chloorkop, even though the versatile player has featured sporadically for the Absa Premiership champions since his arrival from Free State Stars in July 2016.
Mohomi, who can operate in defence and midfield, made only his second appearance of the season in the 2-1 loss to Chippa United in the Nedbank Cup last-32 on the weekend.
Mosimane has stated that injuries haven't helped the 27-year-old's cause at Chloorkop.
"There is no secret that we want Lucky Mohomi," says an official from SuperSport.
"We are pushing very hard and hopefully by this afternoon we will have positive feedback."
Matsatsantsa on Tuesday announced the sale of striker Fagrie Lakay to Bidvest Wits as part of a deal, which saw Mxolisi Macuphu join the Tshwane club on loan.
