Nurnberg's woes in the Bundesliga continued after suffering defeat to Hertha Berlin on home soil.

Nürnberg 1-3 Hertha Berlin

Hertha Berlin piled more misery on struggling Nürnberg with a 3-1 victory on Sunday afternoon.

Vedad Ibisevic opened the scoring for Hertha in the 15th minute and Hanno Behrens gave the hosts hope with the equaliser three minutes before the break.

However, Ondrej Duda restored the lead for the visitors five minutes after the break before he completed his brace 20 minutes before time.

The victory took Hertha to seventh place on the table ]while Nürnberg remained rock bottom of the log with 11 points from the same number of matches.

Schalke 2-1 Wolfsburg

Schalke clinched a crucial 2-1 win over Wolfsburg on Sunday afternoon as they look to move away from the drop zone.

Daniel Caligiuri opened the scoring for the hosts in the eighth minute from the penalty spot, but Elvis Rexhbecaj equalised for Wolfsburg in the 20th minute.

However, Caligiuri had the final say as he grabbed the winner 12 minutes before time to seal the three points for Schalke.

Schalke moved up to 13th on the table with 21 points from 18 games while Wolfsburg remained sixth on the standings with 28 points from the same number of matches.

Schalke will be away to Hertha Berlin in their next fixture while Wolfsburg will host Bayer Leverkusen next Saturday.
