Former Free State Stars coach Luc Eymael has finally signed a contract with his new Egyptian club El Geish FC and has roped in ex-Black Leopards mentor Jean Luscuito to serve as his assistant.
Eymael left South Africa in November, but was initially working without a deal in place before eventually penning terms with the Cairo-based outfit.
He has also since recruited the services of fellow Belgian coach Luscuito, who was an assistant coach for the Super Eagles of Nigeria prior to having stints at Lidoda Duvha and Richards Bay FC.
"Yes, Luscuito is with me here. He is my brother you know," Eymael tells KickOff.com.
"We have two assistant coaches. Luscuito is assistant number one, the second assistant is an Egyptian coach who speaks English and he speaks Arabic.
"We've officially signed the contract, so let's see what we can do to improve. How long is the contract? The contract is one-and-a-half years. But with this small penalty in case of firing or in case of mutual agreement of separation or if the club want to hire me.
"Ja, I can say life is a bit difficult for me now to adapt here because I'm used to South Africa. I'm not talking about the players, I'm not talking about the facilities, all these things are okay. But the life in general is a bit [hard] to adapt [to] because most of the people are living in the evening and in the night. I'm not used to that you know, and the night and the evening is very, very noisy. You know Cairo is 20 million people, so it's a bit difficult."
