FC Barcelona star Gerard Pique is on the verge of 'taking advantage of a new sporting law' by completing the purchase of a Spanish club, according to Diari d'Andorra.
Pique, 31, has been widely tipped to make a move to acquire a football club since his interview with L'Équip Magazine in November last year where he confirmed his desire start 'a beautiful project'.
The former Spain international directly denied widespread media reports last month over the purchase of La Liga 123 club Reus, based in Catalonia as it is illegal for a current contracted player to purchase a football club.
But according to Diari d'Andorra, through his company Kosmos, the 2010 FIFA World Cup winner will take over the full control of FC Andorra.
The Primera Catalana [fifth-tier] side were established in 1942 and played in the third tier between 1980 and 1998.
