R4m pot riding on Telkom Knockout final between Orlando Pirates and Baroka

The winner of the Telkom Knockout final between Orlando Pirates and Baroka will pocket R4million in prize money.

The clubs will battle for honours at Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium in Port Elizabeth on Saturday (18h00), with the runners-up set to receive R1.5m.

Kaizer Chiefs and Bidvest Wits were paid R750 000 apiece for reaching the semi-finals.

Teams that bowed out in the quarter-finals each got R400 000.

Telkom put forward R14.2m in total prize money, which includes participation fees for the 16 Absa Premiership sides.
