Bakgaga qualified for their maiden cup final by eliminating defending champions Wits with a 1-0 victory in their semi-final at Peter Mokaba Stadium last month.

The Limpopo outfit earlier pulled off another shock victory as they sent Tshwane giants Mamelodi Sundowns packing from the quarter-finals with a spirited 2-0 victory at the same venue.

With The Buccaneers having passed tests against Chippa United, AmaZulu and Kaizer Chiefs to reach the final, many would tip the Soweto outfit as favourites for the tie.

Initially reluctant to share his thoughts on Baroka’s chances of attaining their first cup crown, Hunt conceded that an upset is possible in Port Elizabeth.

“Right now, I couldn’t [say] – it’s not really on my mind … I shouldn’t say what I want to say, but no, I wish them [Baroka] well. I really do,” said Hunt.

“Maybe they can cause another upset, but it is certainly going to be a big mountain to climb for them.”

Coach Wedson Nyirenda – a former Amakhosi striker – has already gloated of his own cup record outside of South Africa and believes he will need to find space for the winner’s medal he will be collecting this weekend.

Kick-off of the clash is scheduled for 18h00. Tickets are available through Ticketpro outlets countrywide, at a cost of R60 for adults and R15 for children under 12.
