England's Gareth Southgate names 28-man squad for Nations League and USA clash for Wayne Rooney

While the recall of former captain Wayne Rooney has dominated the headlines, England boss Gareth Southgate has handed a debut call-up to AFC Bournemouth striker Callum Wilson to face Croatia and USA this month.

Wilson, 26, earns his first call-up after seven Premier League goals this season, while Rooney will earn his 120th cap in a special one-off appearance for England against the US, following his retirement from international football.

The Cherries striker and Brighton defender Lewis Dunk are the two uncapped players included, while Derby's Mason Mount drop's out from the previous squad.

Everton centre-back Michael Keane is recalled to the squad for the first time in a year, with Leicester City's Harry Maguire missing out due to a knee injury.
