Willard Katsande scored the only goal of the game and Solinas bemoaned the lack of finishing, despite creating chances to kill the game.

“We created a lot of chances. When you’re leading 1-0 [and] you have a chance to kill the game [you should score]. We need more determination in the box. When you’re in the box we need to convert the chances,” the Italian told SuperSport TV.

“Today we had a lot of chances but we scored only one goal. So we need to score more.

“I’m happy [with the clean-sheet] because the team showed character. So solid. This is good but we need to score more goals. When we have the opportunity we need to score.”

The former Free State Stars tactician went on to say that he knew Black Leopards were going to be a difficult opposition.

“Kaizer Chiefs plays to win the game. I knew this [was going to be] a difficult game for us. In the first half Black Leopards played very well but in the second half we controlled the game. We had chances to score the second but we need more determination.
