Golden Arrows midfielder Sandile Zuke says the knee injury he suffered two weeks ago has really set him back.
Before hurting his knee, the 32-year-old former Chippa United man played in four Absa Premiership matches for the KwaZulu-Natal side this season.
"I will only be back in January," Zuke tells KickOff.com.
"I got injured in the gym two weeks ago, it's a knee injury. I will be out for eight weeks, this is my second week. (sighing) Injuries are one of those things my brother that disturbs you. As much as they are part of football but it really disturbs you. Now I must start afresh before I'm able to kick a football again. I'm attending physio. I do go to the club because I'm using the club’s physio."
Abafana Bes'thende have managed to get two away draws at Free State Stars and Black Leopards without Zuke.
The Kaizer Chiefs development product believes this shows how committed his teammates are in his absence.
"No, the guys are doing their best, they are working very hard. I can't fault them, they are doing very well. They got two draws away from home, which means they've been working really hard."
