AmaZulu striker Emiliano Tade braced for Orlando Pirates war in Telkom Knockout quarter-finals

Posted: 1 November 2018 Time: 14:00

AmaZulu striker Emiliano Tade says there can only be one winner this time against Orlando Pirates on the weekend following their 1-1 draw in the league last month.

Usuthu will host the Buccaneers in the Telkom Knockout quarter-finals at Moses Mabhida Stadium on Saturday (18h00).

Tade cancelled out Augustine Mulenga's early opener for Bucs when the sides previously met in an entertaining contest at Umlazi's King Zwelithini Stadium on October 6.

The South American, who has scored thrice since joining AmaZulu on a two-year deal from Auckland City at the beginning of the season, expects a battle against the Buccaneers in Durban.

"I think this is going to be a completely different game because the competition is completely different," said Tade, who is the second Argentinian to play for AmaZulu in the PSL after Nick Gindre.

"It's a cup game, so there's going to be a winner. So we have to play like a mental game and be ready for the battle."

The match was moved from King Zwelithini Stadium, where Tade has netted all of his goals this campaign, to Mabhida at the PSL's and tournament sponsor's request.

The 30-year-old added: "Personally, individually, it doesn't really matter [where the game takes place].

"At least for now until I get a chance to be there, I feel more belonging to the Zululand.

"I guess every player has the desire to play in the biggest stadiums, to feel the atmosphere, the people and obviously everything that is in the surroundings."
