Absa Premiership match report Black Leopards v Free State Stars 28 October 2018

Black Leopards and Free State Stars shared the spoilsin a 1-1 draw in the Absa Premiership on Sunday afternoon.

The home side were pushing forward in numbers in the opening exchanges of the match, looking for an early goal.

Luc Eymael’s charges were barely coping with the heat at the Thohoyandou stadium making errors at the back.

Eden Nene eventually broke the deadlock for Lidoda Duvha on the half-hour mark with his first league goal of the season.

Ea Lla Koto started to get out of their own half ten minutes before the break, but they were struggling to create chances.

The second stanza started a little slowly with the hosts being compact at the back and opting to play on counter-attacks.

However, Stars levelled matters two minutes before the hour through Congolese midfielder Cesaire Gandze, 1-1.

The game was coming to life 20 minutes before time as Joel Masutha’s men improved their combination play going forward.

However, neither team could snatch the winner in the closing minutes and the two sides shared the spoils.
