Juventus' Cristiano Ronaldo headlines second round of 2018 Ballon d'Or nominees list

Cristiano Ronaldo has been announced amongst nine other superstars in the latest round of Ballon d'Or nominees for 2018.

In the opening round of nominations, Karim Benzema, Gareth Bale, Sergio Aguero, Allison and Kevin de Bryune made the 30-man shortlist.

Now Portugal forward Cristiano Ronaldo, who joined Juventus from Real Madrid in the summer, won last year's Ballon d'Or and is again a contender.

The 33-year-old scored a staggering 44 goals in 44 games last season, helping Los Blancos win the UEFA Champions League.

And after completing a club-record switch to Serie A champions Juve, the legendary forward has netted four goals and registered five assists in eight league outings.

And in the third round of nominations, World Cup winning duo, Antoine Griezmann, N'golo Kante were revealed, along with Golden Boot winner of the global showpiece, Harry Kane and Isco.

The ceremony to announce the winner will take place in Paris on 3 December.
