Downs signed Maboe on a long-term deal in August from the Team of Choice, and he has made a decent start to his tenure at Chloorkop.

"I feel like it is down to one's mentality. If you are willing to work hard, when you eventually get a chance you just need to use the opportunity that you are going to get," Maboe said.

"You are not going to get ... I mean, it's not like you are guaranteed that you are going to start every game.

"So you just have to keep on working hard and hope that when your chance comes you grab it with both hands.
