AmaZulu coach Cavin Johnson felt the referee was poor in a lot moments during his side's defeat to Kaizer Chiefs.
Usuthu suffered a 2-0 defeat at the hands of the Soweto giants at the FNB Stadium on Saturday evening.
Johnson was not impressed with the man in the middle and has called for an improvement.
“In the first half we didn’t come to the party. In the second half we did the best we could but we couldn’t break down a good defence of Kaizer Chiefs,” Johnson told SuperSport TV.
“The decision making of the men in the middle can be a lot better in order to keep a consistent game. I thought in a lot of moments that was poor from him [referee] what can we say?
“I told him after the game, 'guys you gotta go back home, watch the game [again]. You gotta improve. You gotta improve somewhere', because we do our best,”
“Yes my team was not there, I lost 2-0, I can’t do anything about the result but someone had something to do with that result. Because I thought at 1-0 ja we worked on the set-piece, we conceded via a set-piece. But at 2-0 it was never ever a foul [Chiefs scored from a set-piece situation].
“It looks like the more players dive in the PSL the more they get free-kicks. We gotta ask the guys in the middle [referees] please look at what you have done and go home and prepare for the next game."
