Manchester City head coach Pep Guardiola has made a surprise admission about star midfielder Kevin De Bruyne.
De Bruyne, 27, has been a notable absentee from City's starting XI this season after being ruled out for the year with a serious knee injury.
The Belgian ace, was a key figure in their record-breaking title win last season and was rewarded with a six-year deal at the Etihad in January.
A deal that marked his indispensable status within Guardiola's plans with the Citizens and fully justifying his £55million switch from Wolfsburg in 2015.
While Pep admits he would never part with the technically gifted midfielder, he conceded he does hold a release clause.
"He's very good. He's a very dynamic player," he told Universo Valdano.
"The other day, I met his parents and you often understand how the children are when you know the parents.
"He's an incredible boy. The clause is €250m. But I'm sorry, he's not for sale."
