Orlando Pirates confirm Goal of the Month winner Vincent Pule

Posted: 13 September 2018 Time: 13:08

Orlando Pirates have confirmed the recipient of their monthly award for the best goal scored in August.

The Buccaneers named all four of their first team goalscorers amongst the nominees last week, including some uninspiring ones like Justin Shonga's penalty against Highlands Park.

Nonetheless the club turned to their supporters to decide on the winning candidate, which has since been revealed.

The August award goes to none other than midfielder Vincent Pule, who registered his first goal for Pirates, since arriving from Bidvest Wits in June, against Black Leopards.

The 26-year-old has enjoyed a quick rise in the black and white colours under coach Milutin Sredojevic, having also been rewarded with a Bafana Bafana debut in the recent Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Libya.

Pule has thus pocketed a R2000 fuel voucher courtesy of club sponsors Caltex.
