Borussia Dortmund teenage sensation and current number seven, Jadon Sancho, has been hailed a 'street footballer' that can become the 'Neymar' of England.
Sancho, 18, joined Dortmund last season for a reported £8m from Manchester City, as the direct replacement for Ousmane Dembele.
After inheriting the number seven jersey previously worn by the 2018 FIFA World Cup-winner, the Englishman was gradually introduced into the first-team by then-coach Thomas Tuchel.
And since then the fleet-footed winger has scored once and registered six assists in 16 games and won the U17 World Cup.
Now his former coach in the England youth set-up has tipped the Bundesliga based starlet to become the unpredictable attacking talisman the Three Lions are desperately in search of.
"Provided he doesn't become restricted he could be our Neymar-type player - in terms of being unpredictable, playing on that left-hand side," Dan Micciche told the Guardian. "Jadon did a lot of his learning on the street through informal play.
"And he's flamboyant, entertaining to watch. But like Neymar, he's effective with it. In most games he'll create something - it's not a beauty contest. He's not on the pitch flicking it over someone's head for the sake of it.
"First of all his mentality is strong - he's gone from Watford to Man City, so moving up north - and then had the mentality to move to another country," he added.
"He's travelled the world with club and country - that takes a lot of discipline, sacrifice. And he's delivered on every stage he's been put on, including now in Germany."
