Kaizer Chiefs have confirmed they will be returning to Durban for the first time since their unsavoury visit in April.
Chiefs have announced that their Absa Premiership home fixture against Polokwane City scheduled for next month will be staged at the Moses Mabhida Stadium.
This will be the club's first visit to the scene they last left in disarray, when fans invaded the pitch and tangled with security industry personnel after their Nedbank Cup semi-final defeat to Free State Stars last season.
The distateful events led to the barbaric assault of a security guard among other injuries, the looting of broadcast equipment as well as the immediate resignation of then-head coach Steve Komphela.
However, The Glamour Boys are adamant on taking some of their home games back to the flagship cup final venue in KwaZulu-Natal.
Durban fans will now have the opportunity to redeem themselves when Amakhosi host Rise and Shine on October 6. Kick-off has been set for 18h00.
Tickets are available through Computicket/Shoprite/Checkers outlets nationwide at a cost of R90 (premium reserved seating – Blocks 200 & 235), R60 (Adult – general stadium, unreserved seating) and R15 (Chilren Under-12 – general stadium, unreserved seating).
Tickets for the disabled have also been set at R60.
