Egyptian Premier League outfit Pyramids FC have responded to rumours linking the club to Swedish superstar Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
The newly formed Egyptian side, formerly known as Al Assiouty Sport, the club Bafana Bafana winger Gift Links represented last season has made global headlines since being taken over by Saudi billionaire Turki Al-Sheikh.
With a clear ambition to compete with Zamalek and Al Ahly in the Premier League and African football as a whole, the club splashed out €38m (R670m) on new transfers which included five highly-rated Brazilians.
And after a strong start to the new season, currently level on points with The Red Devils after five games played, the club has been linked with former Manchester United striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
But the club's Director of Football, Ahmed Hassan has vehemently denied suggestions the veteran forward could be prised away from LA Galaxy as the club's next marquee signing.
"This is absolutely baseless," Hassan told KingFut. "The source of all these rumours is fake news sites that broadcast fake news.
The 36-year-old has scored 16 goals in 21 games for the MLS outfit since joining them on a free transfer in March.
