The opening round of matches in the MultiChoice Diski Challenge took place this weekend.

AmaZulu 3-1 Orlando Pirates

AmaZulu laid down a marker in their opening tie, with an impressive 3-1 win over Orlando Pirates.

Bayanda Shangase put Usuthu ahead after just two minutes from the penalty spot, before Sibusiso Maluleke doubled the lead in the 14th minute.

Charlie Hlalele netted AmaZulu's third in the 80th minute after Simiso Bophela reduced the deficit.

Maritzburg United 0-3 Mamelodi Sundowns

Goals from Vuyo Mantjie, Promise Mkhuma and  Khayelihle Shozi guided Mamelodi Sundowns to a 2-0 win over Maritzburg United.

Rivaldo Coetzee and Katlego Otladisa were included from the start for the Brazilians.

Golden Arrows 0-1 Kaizer Chiefs

Reamohetswe Lekoatsa's 80th minute strike was enough to hand Kaizer Chiefs a 1-0 win over Golden Arrows.

AmaKhosi shot-stopper Bruce Bvuma was also the hero on the day after saving a second-half penalty.

Highlands Park 0-3 Cape Town City

Cape Town City got off an impressive on Saturday, after they defeated Highlands Park 3-0 thanks to goals from Mzukile Kweula, Nana Akosah-Bempah and Shaqueel Abrahams.
