Spain attacker showing support for his coach

Posted: 8 September 2018 Time: 13:29

Real Madrid and Spain international, Isco, has spoken out about working with new head coach Luis Enrique, showing support for the new rules the coach is implementing.

The former FC Barcelona mentor will be in charge of his first match with the Spanish national team since the disappointment of the 2018 FIFA World Cup, when La Furia Roja take on England in the UEFA Nations League.

Enrique’s most notable rule is the limited use of cellphones in camp, and Isco, in a press conference, expressed his support of this rule, saying: “It is always important to have a bit of discipline. The motives behind his decision seem good.

“We are often concerned with our mobile phones than we are talking to our teammates,” as quoted from Spanish publication Marca .

Coaches appear to be linking players’ lack of focus in matches to their obsession with cellphones and social media, with Enrique joining Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola as managers dishing out sanctions and regulations with regards to players’ use of cellphones.

La Furia Roja will be looking to Isco to lead the resurgence of the former world champions, with the player’s creativity sure to be a lethal weapon for Spain.
