There were big wins for Uruguay and Argentina, while Brazil comfortably saw off the United States in Friday's international friendlies.

United States 0-2 Brazil

Brazil claimed their first win since the World Cup after defeating USA 2-0 at the Metlife Stadium.

Roberto Firmino opened the scoring in the 11th minute, turning home a cross from Douglas Costa.

Selecao were the awarded a penalty two minutes before the break, allowing Neymar to step up and convert to double his side's lead.

Argentina 3-0 Guatemala

Argentina, who were without Lionel Messi, crusied to a 3-0 win over Guatemala.

Gonzalo Nicolás Martínez opened the scoring from the penalty spot, before Giovani Lo Celso doubled the lead on 35th minutes.

Giovanni Simeone then sealed the victory for just before the halftime break with a goal on his national team debut.

Mexico 1-4 Uruguay 

Uruguay were in a rampant mood as they thumped Mexico 4-1 at the NRG Stadium.

Luis Suarez contributed with a brace, while Jose Gimenez and Gaston Pereiro were also on the score-sheet.
