Orlando Pirates goalkeeper Brilliant Khuzwayo is set to return to action soon as the club provide an injury update on several other first team stars.
Khuzwayo has yet to make his official debut for The Buccaneers since his high-profile move from Soweto rivals Kaizer Chiefs.
The 28-year-old shot-stopper was ruled out for a month just before the season started as he required surgery to remove pins from his previously injured ankle.
The club have since provided positive feedback on his recovery, but have kept fans guessing as to when exactly he will make his first competitive appearance.
"Khuzwayo continues to work on strengthening work after the successful removal of pins in his ankle," read a statement from the club.
"The strength and conditioning department has also worked on proprioception, lower limb strengthening, cycling and isokinetic strength where the goalkeeper has shown a lot of improvement in his testing over the past week."
Meanwhile, the likes of Thabo Qalinge, Musa Nyatama and Gladwin Shitolo are also undergoing rehab for their respective injuries.
"The strength and conditioning team is hard at work with Musa Nyatama, Thabo Qalinge and Gladwin Shitolo, who are all undergoing the next stage of rehabilitation," said the club.
"Qalinge who has been out since picking up an injury in pre-season, is undergoing light strengthening and balancing work."
Zambian striker Augustine Mulenga as well as Bafana Bafana defender Innocent Maela were also given the medical green light prior to linking up with their respective national teams.
Africa Cup of Nations qualifers take centre stage this weekend, with Bafana set to face Libya in Durban while Chipolopolo visit Namibia in Windhoek on Saturday.
