Kaizer Chiefs coach Giovanni Solinas says the club have to move on from their MTN8 disappointment, and stressed that the best is yet to come for Amakhosi.
Chiefs fans have seen their team's start to the season go from bad to worse after they were eliminated from the MTN8 semifinals by defending champions SuperSport United over the weekend.
This added to their woes of having yet to win an Absa Premiership match, as they occupy 13th position on the log with just four points from five games.
Solinas, who arrived at Naturena seven weeks ago, insists he cannot produce a favourable turnaround overnight and offered reassurance that the team will soon come good.
"We need to move forward – this is life, this is football. I am here one month and a half, I don't have a magic stick," said Solinas.
"We need to work hard, we need time and I'm happy with the boys because, in my opinion, in the future this team can give the satisfaction.
"Okay, yes, now it is disappointing because we lost the opportunity to win the [MTN8] cup, but in future with time we can improve. I am confident. I believe in this team."
The Italian tactician has also empathised with the supporters following their cup exit, but emphasised that the team will improve and produce results with time.
"I understand perfectly the situation that our fans are not happy with the results, and I am also not happy with the results," he added.
"But we need to move on and I'm sure that over time this team will improve and get results, because you haven't seen the best Kaizer Chiefs. The best Kaizer Chiefs is coming."
