Former AC Milan prodigy Hachim Mastour looks set for a surprise move as he looks to rebuild his career since being released from the Serie A side.
Milan signed Mastour from Reggina for a reported fee of €500k six years ago as a fresh-faced 14-year-old, and after his sensational ability on the ball went viral on YouTube, many tipped the playmaker to for superstar status.
Helped by the seal of approval from legendary Milan and Italy manager Arrigo Sacchi, the seven-time European champions beat the likes of Real Madrid, Barcelona and Manchester City to his signature.
But like many other 'wonderkids' of the past, his career hasn't had the upwards spiral many predicted with two underwhelming loan stints with Malaga and PEC Zwolle respectively.
Despite being promoted to the Milan first-team at the tender age of 15, he failed to make his debut for the Italian giants.
And now, according to Greek news outlet Sport24, the 20-year-old is closing in on a move to Super League outfit Lamia FC, who are in the second season within the top-flight.
According to the report, his annual earnings will amount to €200k - which will by far exceed the highest contract in the history of the team from Central Greece.
Check out some of his highlights below at a tournament hosted in Durban back in 2015 - which saw him touted as one of the brightest talents in the game.
