Micho: Pirates playing catch-up

Orlando Pirates coach Milutin Sredojevic says the team fell short of their points target for the first five games of the season, but he is optimistic his men will respond accordingly.
Pirates bolstered their tally to seven points with a 2-1 win at Black Leopards on Tuesday as 'Micho''s side bounced back from three straight losses in all competitions, which included their MTN8 quarter-final exit on penalties to SuperSport United.
The Soweto giants beat Lidoda Duvha despite playing most of the match with ten men after Thamsanqa Gabuza stormed off the pitch.
Gabuza lost his cool after being jeered by Buccaneers fans at Peter Mokaba Stadium. He received a yellow card for taking his shirt off and hurling it into the crowd and was handed a second booking when he bizarrely exited the pitch without the referee's permission.
Gabuza situation aside, Micho sees progress from his charges.
"We are more than happy with the progress if you have a team that dominates in crucial aspects of the game, and we are dominating," he said.
"We are playing football. The number of shots on goal is the attacking part and there is the number of shots allowed towards our goal on target. We are also satisfied with the meaningful build-ups. Attacking-wise and defensive-wise we are doing very well and confidence is growing. "
The Serbian will focus on improving his team's finishing during the FIFA international break.
"Now we have a FIFA break and we shall use it to improve very much, because in the space of seven days we have three games where we are looking to collect more points.
"We were targeting 10 points in the first five matches and we got seven. We will try to get more in our next set of matches to cover up."
Bucs next host SuperSport on September 15 at Orlando Stadium.
