England manager Gareth Southgate has announced his first squad since their impressive 2018 FIFA World Cup, with a couple of experienced campaigners being overlooked.

Southgate has kept the faith in the core of his team that exceeded expectations at the 2018 FIFA World Cup by reaching the last-four.

Veteran utility-man Ashley Young has been dropped in favour of an in-form Manchester United teammate Luke Shaw, while Phil Jones misses out through injury.

Jamie Vardy and Gary Cahill recently took a step back from selection but it's since been indicated they will be available for future squads if required.
