France announce 23-man squad for UEFA Nations League fixtures vs Germany & Netherlands

World Champions France have announced their squad for the upcoming UEFA Nations League fixtures against Germany and Netherlands.

After winning the 2018 FIFA World, head coach Didier Deschamps has kept faith in the youthful squad, with just one change in selection.

Marseille goalkeeper Steve Madanda has been dropped in favour of Bordeaux stopper Benoit Costil.

Premier League trio Alexandre Lacazette, Anthony Martial and Aymeric Laporte remain snubbed, while Dimitri Payet is still sidelined through injury.

Les Blues take on Germany on 6 September for their first UEFA Nations League fixture and The Netherlands three days later.
