Juventus and Serie A record signing Cristiano Ronaldo has yet to find the net in Italy and an AS Roma star has shed insight on his early struggles.
Ronaldo's move to the Italian giants has attracted global attention due to the legendary status he achieved with Real Madrid.
However, the 33-year-old drew a blank in his league debut and home debut to Chievo Verona and Lazio respectively.
Despite being afforded the full 180 minutes of play by manager Massimo Allegri, the five-time Ballon d'Or winner has been left visibly frustrated by his inability to find the back of the net.
And Roma forward Stephan El Shaarawy offered some insight into Ronaldo's struggles and the prospect of a title challenge against the Bioncaneri.
"Ronaldo still dry? The Italian defences are more difficult to overcome than in other tournaments," he told Football Italia.
"He was also unlucky, we saw his talent in the two matches, he could have scored a goal.
"Juventus is stronger than last year, it will be difficult to keep up the pace. They have important alternatives.
"We have to do our best in the championship without thinking too much about them."
