Baroka keeper Ayanda Dlamini determined to impress against Highlands Park

Posted: 29 August 2018 Time: 10:30

Baroka goalkeeper Ayanda Dlamini is unhappy with his performance and is determined to raise his game, starting in tonight's Absa Premiership clash with topflight returnees Highlands Park.

Kick-off is at 19h30 at Peter Mokaba Stadium, with Bakgaga, who have four points from as many games, looking to bounce back from a 2-0 loss to neighbours Polokwane City.

The Lions of the North have drawn all three of their games, most recently earning a point on the road with a goalless stalemate with champions Mamelodi Sundowns.

"It's going to be a tough game," Dlamini says.

"There is no easy team right now in the PSL. Even though they are from the NFD they deserve to play in the PSL. So there is no easy team at the moment.

"We must be able to convert our chances if we get them so we can get the three points. So far our season has had ups and downs but like everyone else at this stage we haven't performed well. We are expecting a tough game against Highlands Park.

"At the moment I'm not happy with my performance because there are some things that are not going well. But it's life, life is full of ups and downs so I must just try to work hard."

Dlamini got into trouble with Baroka's management for hurling a ball at a ball boy during the Limpopo derby on August 18.

Asked about the incident, Dlamini says: "That I will leave to our CEO Morgan [Mammila], I don't think it will happen again."
