Mamelodi Sundowns' CAF Champions League campaign came to an end after they could only manage a 0-0 draw with Horoya in their final Group C clash.
Sundowns struggled to penetrate the visitors early on, who looked more comfortable on the ball and its way around the offensive third.
The Brazilians came close to unlocking the defence after combination of passes by Themba Zwane and Gaston Sirino found Jeremy Brockie who shot tamely at Khalidou Ndiaye on 18 minutes.
Horoya asked questions of their own, with Denis Onyango called to pick out a goal-ridden 40-yard shot on 23 minutes by Aboubacar Camara.
With little openings, the game failed to ignite on all fronts with no team showing any ability whatsoever to break through the offensive third towards the half and hour mark.
That said, Horoya looked more menacing whenever the opportunity presented itself to go on the attack towards the halftime period.
The offensive trio of Sirino, Zwane and Sibusiso Vilakazi were non-existent for the home side, who continued battling away.
The small crowd for a second got on the back of Brockie after failing to take aim at Ndiaye after being sent through one-on-one by Hlompho Kekana on 38 minutes.
On the stroke of halftime, a square pass by Tebogo Langerman from the left found Sirino at the far post but the Uruguayan ballooned the chance.
The second half brought the same resilience from Horoya who continued attacking with pace down the flanks and through the middle of the park.
