Letlabika on the way back

Bloemfontein Celtic defender Wandisile Letlabika is closing in on his return from a serious injury, according to coach Steve Komphela.
Letlabika is making his way back from surgery after damaging his knee in the Telkom Knockout final loss to Bidvest Wits on December 2, 2017 at Princess Magogo Stadium in KwaMashu, Durban.
Last season then-Celtic coach Veselin Jelusic repeatedly mentioned how the side missed Letlabika, who formed a solid partnership with Alfred Ndengane.
KickOff.com understands his unavailability led Siwelele to jump at the opportunity to sign fellow centre-back Lorenzo Gordinho on loan in January as part of the deal that saw midfielder Kabelo Mahlasela go to Chiefs.
With Letlabika in the final stages of recovery, Celtic are unwilling to accede to Amakhosi's recent request that Gordinho return to Naturena before his loan spell ends in December 2018.
"He's gone through the surgery, he's gone through the recovery, he's now going through rehab," Komphela said of Letlabika.
"He'll be through fitness and selection and then he'll compete. So he's at the final stage of his coming back on the field."
The 29-year-old Letlabika, who joined Phunya Sele Sele from Mamelodi Sundowns in 2012/13, has missed his side's last 26 matches in all competitions.
Komphela's men have won their first three games of the season and next visit Kaizer Chiefs in the league at FNB Stadium on Wednesday.
