Mamelodi Sundowns coach Pitso Mosimane will look to rest some of his key players when they meet Cape Town City in the MTN 8 semi-final first leg this afternoon.
Sundowns are faced with a mammoth task to try and overcome Horoya in their final CAF Champions League group C clash at home next week Tuesday.
The Brazilians are in need of nothing less than a victory in order to advance to the quarterfinal stage of the competition.
Before then however, The Citizens pose a stern test for the Tshwane side, who are expected to fly back to Gauteng immediately after the match to begin preparations for Tuesday.
Mosimane has since hinted that the likes of Themba Zwane and Denis Onyango could be given a rest for the MTN 8 encounter.
"We have to refresh the squad. I think 'Mshishi' [Zwane], Denis and others must get a rest. We have an important game on Tuesday, which will determine our fate in Campions League, so those that played against [Highlands Park] must rest a bit," said 'Jingles'.
"Let other guys get a chance to play in Cape Town. I will bring another team – maybe the team that played against Kaizer Chiefs in the Shell Cup."
In the absence of some key players at the Cape Town Stadium this afternoon, Mosimane may be tempted to throw in newly promoted midfielder Sphelele Mkhulisi for his official PSL debut.
