Jomo Cosmos have confirmed the arrival of an Orlando Pirates striker on a season-long loan deal.
Ezenkosi have acquired the services of Ayanda Nkosi for the 2018/19 National First Division season, after he passed a week-long assessment.
“Yes, we are taking him on loan for the season, and hopefully he’ll add value to our attack,” said former Cosmos striker-turned assistant coach Brice Aka in a club statement.
Cosmos, who narrowly missed out on promotion in last season's play-offs, are looking to Nkosi to spearhead their attack for the current campaign, which will see them battle with former topflight clubs Ajax Cape Town and Cape Umoya United (formerly Platinum Stars).
The 25-year-old forward has had minimal impact at The Buccaneers since his arrival from Free State Stars two seasons ago, managing just 10 appearances.
The move could now afford him the opportunity of resurrecting his career while also putting his recent off-the-field troubles behind him.
Nkosi could make his debut when Cosmos visit newly acquired franchise TS Galaxy on Sunday.
