Kaizer Chiefs uncertain over Andriamirado 'Dax' Andrianarimanana's debut

It seems Kaizer Chiefs supporters will have to continue their wait for a first look at new signing Andriamirado Andrianarimanana.

'Dax', as Andrianarimanana is commonly known as, finally arrived in South Africa two weeks ago following a protracted transfer saga between Amakhosi and his Malagasy club Fosa Juniors.

The Madagascan international, who starred at the COSAFA Cup in Limpopo a few months ago, saw his move blocked by Fosa, who claimed to have a running contract with him until 2020.

However, Chiefs finally managed to get the 27-year-old over to Naturena after their season-opening fixture against Mamelodi Sundowns, and are now waiting on his work permit.

Similarly, new coach Giovanni Solinas was made to wait around two weeks from his appointment, before receiving his visa to occupy the Glamour Boys' bench.

Football manager Bobby Motaung has confirmed the midfielder is set to play no part in this weekend's MTN8 semi-final first leg against SuperSport United due to injury, while an update will be provided on his work permit "this week".

"No, Dax can't play this weekend because he's still injured, but there's not yet any update on his work permit. We'll provide an update later in the week," Motaung tells KickOff.com.

On Wednesday the Glamour Boys announced the signing of former PSL Footballer of the Season Lebogang Manyama and defender Mario Booysen.
