Everton winger Richarlison has made a huge claim after being omitted from the Brazil national team again.
Richarlison, 21, has been one of the standout performers in the start of the new Premier League season with three goals in Everton's opening two fixtures.
After completing a transfer to the Toffees from Watford in a deal that could rise to £50m (R922m) with add-ons, the talented winger was widely expected to be roped in by head coach Tite for their upcoming friendlies.
However, the uncapped winger has now broken his silence after the latest disappointment.
"I was really looking forward to the call for Friday," he told UOL Esporte. "I watched with great anticipation, but unfortunately it was not this time.
"I can not say why (I have not been called), there are 24 names and it's difficult for the coach to choose, I'll keep working to be on the next list.
"I feel more prepared, I already know the rhythm and style of the Premier League, which helps me on the way to the achievements.
"I want to be the top scorer of the league, take Everton back to the Champions League and therefore reach the Brazilian national team."
Richarlison featured 10 times for the Selecao U20 side, scoring three goals.
