Kaizer Chiefs coach Giovanni Solinas was in perpetual motion in the dugout as he was left frustrated by his side's inability to put their chances away against Maritzburg United.
Chiefs are still in search of their first league win of the season after playing to a goalless draw with 10-man Maritzburg at a boisterous Harry Gwala Stadium on Friday night.
United were steadfast in their mission to thwart Amakhosi after star midfielder Siphesihle Ndlovu was sent off for a studs-up challenge on Siyabonga Ngezana 16 minutes in. Fadlu Davids' team held firm at the back as captain and ex-Glamour Boys defender Siyanda Xulu won the Man of the Match award.
Chiefs may have hit three unanswered goals past Free State Stars in the MTN8, but they have only netted thrice in four Absa Premiership outings in 2018/19.
Solinas says his charges will work on their finishing in training.
"When you don't win a game like this it is a little bit frustrating, yes. But in football sometimes this can happen and this is the situation," Solinas told reporters after the game, which was contested under light rain in KwaZulu-Natal.
"We create a lot of chances, everything is perfect, only we need to put the ball into the back of the net. But I don't want to complain about my players because they did a good job.
"But yes, we need an improvement in our finishing because every game we create a lot of chances. But I'm sure in the future when we come back to our training sessions we'll practise our finishing ... I'm sure the team will improve."
Solinas, who was named Chiefs coach three weeks before the season started, feels the upcoming FIFA break will offer them a good opportunity to address their issues.
"For us we don't have a break because we play on Sunday. We play SuperSport United [away on Saturday] and on Wednesday [August 29] we play against Celtic [at home]," he said
"Post that, we need to exploit this time for practice, to fix our mistakes. Yes, the FIFA break will be a good opportunity for us since the August month is very congested, lots of games.
"Yes, it'll be a good opportunity to improve with specific drills for our finishing and to fix our our mistakes, continue to improve our ball possession.
"Yes, we'll exploit this time in the right manner," reiterated the Italian.
